Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions set out the basis upon which training is provided by Pegasus Driving School Bedford. The provision of training is subject to the acceptance of these terms and conditions by you.

1. Licenses:
You must hold a current, valid provisional, full or international driving license and produce it on (or in advance of) your first training session.

2. Health:
You must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements and any medical condition(s) which are likely to affect the safe use/control of a motor vehicle must be made known to the School/Instructor immediately.

3. Insurance:
All fees include student cover whilst driving the School vehicle (provided the student has a current license to drive) and is accompanied by, or under the direction of a Driving Standards Agency A.D.I / P.D.I (Car) or on a Driving Test with a DSA Examiner(s).

4. Payments:
Unless otherwise agreed by Pegasus Driving School Bedford tuition fees shall be payable in advance. Payment can be made by cash or cheque  (cheques payable to Pegasus Driving School Bedford). In the event that any cheques are not honoured (ie, bounce) when cashed then we shall be entitled to charge a reasonable administration fee to cover our time in seeking payment.

5. Cancellation:
If you need to cancel a lesson, we need a minimum of 24 hours notice. If the appropriate notice period is not given we retain the right to retrieve that lesson fee. When cancelling by leaving a voice or text message or sending an email you must receive a reply from us for the cancellation to be confirmed. Should you not receive a reply from us, it will be assumed that we have not received your cancellation, which may result in the loss of the lesson fee. We will use our reasonable efforts to ensure students receive training at the requested time, however we do reserve the right to postpone or change lesson lengths and times in certain circumstances (e.g. dangerous weather conditions). In the event of us making changes to your lessons, fees paid in advance will be carried forward and applied to the next lesson.

6. Driving tests and bookings:
Your instructor reserves the right to withhold the School’s training vehicle if, in the instructors opinion, you have not reached the required standard. You must consult with your driving instructor before booking a practical test to ensure the availability of the vehicle and instructor. The School cannot be held responsible for test appointments being postponed or cancelled by the DSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other reasons. Such cancellations are beyond the control of your instructor and therefore the lesson fee and ‘use of car’ fee for the booked period will be charged. Your instructor will advise about claiming compensation from the DSA. The School cannot be held responsible for students not taking the correct documents on the day of their test. While the School will make every effort to ensure that the vehicle supplied for the test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test the School cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during the test and is not liable for your forfeited fee for the examination.

7. Links to other Web Sites:
Certain links will lead you to web sites that are not under the control of Pegasus Driving School Bedford. When you activate any of these links you will leave the PDSB web site and as such PDSB has no control over and will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of the material on any such other website.

8. Mobile Phones:
You must ensure that mobile phones are switched off prior to entering the tuition vehicle.

9. Offers:
Any offers may be changed or withdrawn without prior notice.

We reserve the right to change or alter any of the terms and conditions without notice, but will endeavor to inform students of any changes as soon as possible. Nothing in these terms and conditions affect your statutory rights.
